I have done full body molds with plaster bandages. There are a few techniques that can be done to get great detail, to make the molds very secure so they don't loose shape, if care is taken, a number of castings can be made from the mold. Alginate, skin safe silicon, plaster and plaster bandages are/were all used. Clay slip was used to make a separation of the 2 halves of the mold. I love body molding and casting, I just don't get to do it as much as I would like.
