Topic Subject : Re: Alginate volume |
|
Interesting question,I always add water to my alginate there by getting the exact fiscosity ( thickness) that I require
this depends on the control I wish to have over my alginate I do have it quite thick and less runny then most this is my preference as I usually pour in hot melted plastelina after woulds if there are any bubbles I just clean them up in the sculpt there are seldem any by the way
The thing is its a similar the volume the powder takes up once the water has been added
Some times I pour the alginate then its quite runny i guess its a bigger volume
hope this helps in some way
go safley
John

------------Silica-Free & Oh So GREEN------->
NEW! MoldGel SILFREE. A revolutionary formula.
Made with all food-grade ingredients. It nourishes
the earth when discarded. 3-to-1 mix ratio yields
twice the volume as those 1-to-1 brands. Delayed
shrinkage for delayed casting - so creamy smooth, too.

Alginate volume:--
Hi
I am trying to work out how much room alginate takes up. For example if I am using 1 part alginate to 2 parts water and I have used 1 litre of water how much would the final volume of aginate water mix be. (Sounds like a question from a maths exam!!)
Thanks
Ann
