HI Robert
Thanks for that information. Can I just ask you then, please, I am doing a cast of a man and a boy doing a handshake. I have made a mould to fit around the general shape of the clasped hands. Can I use a slighly 'thinner' mix of alginate for this sort of work.
I am assuming that the 'thicker' mix would be used for times when it is being painted straight onto a body for a torso etc.
Is there any benefit or problems associated with a thinner mix of alginate, presumably it will be weaker but are you likely to get less air bubbles.
Thanks for your time - really appreciate it
Ann
