Topic Subject : Re: casting kits

William, apologize for not responding in a more timely manner, some how I had missed your posting until this morning.

There are casting kits available and though most are for babies' hands and feet, ArtMolds also offers ones for heads, torsos, and other parts.

A product does exist which allows one to cast urethane resins directly in alginate molds. It is called "Watertrap" and is made by Monster Makers. I tested it ten years ago in a "Sculpture Journal" article titled "Watertrap, Testing a New Product..." It is not in the AlI Library so I am sending it to you at your direct email. Will gladly do so for anyone else interested. The website for Monster MAkers is monstermakerssales@monstermakers.com. I just checked and the company is still in existence.

Dave
