To cast plaster, latex rubber works fine. You can make a lot of castings
before the mold destabilizes.
I always use shellac to seal my pieces.

NEW! MoldGel SILFREE. A revolutionary formula.
Made with all food-grade ingredients. It nourishes
the earth when discarded. 3-to-1 mix ratio yields
twice the volume as those 1-to-1 brands. Delayed
shrinkage for delayed casting - so creamy smooth, too.

Sealing Plaster:--
Hi everyone
we need advice...
we are sealing a lot of white plaster and we are using Krylon Triple-Thikc
Crystal Clear Glaze, but it seems to not work well since it gets dirty and
sticky easily even after it dried for more than advised 24 hours.
What is everyone else using and can you recommend a specific product that we
can purchase here in US?
We also want to be able to cast from the same mold multiple times, can you
advice on the best material for the mold that we could use to cast mulitple
plaster objects?
thanks and we hope you will visit us at
www.galateacasting.com
thanks
