John, I tried to respond through the Forums' section but could not
get it to go through. I am sending this as a direct email reply with
a cc to you. I hope you get it. I have heard of someone who, using his own kids as "victims," put
drops in there eyes to numb them and did cast their eyes open. No way
would I ever do that. I did, however, have a woman open her eyes a
good half way (for whatever reason I have no idea) during a casting.
Her eyes cast perfectly and without any complaint from her. But as I
said, I would never cast put anything directly into someone's eyes on
purpose. John, as you know, sculpting open eyes on a life casting takes some
practice. I have gotten very comfortable with it and would be glad to
share some tricks though I would MUCH prefer to talk than type.
Please feel feel free to call me at my studio (303) 321-1074 if I can
be of any help. I would be glad to hear your ideas as well. I will
send you a second email with a couple of examples of mine. Dave
