Topic Subject : Re: what can you use for outdoors? |
|
I cast everything thats going outdoors in Forton MG. Just do a search on Forton MG and you will find all the info you need. Ive been using it for years and love the properties it delivers. It can be poured or brushed into the mold and can be used as a glue to bind Forton MG cast parts together.
Binding plaster parts together is always a prob for me. I often drill holes in the backside of the parts or roughen things up enough for the plaster to grab ahold. I wet the surface and add in really wet plaster. (I stick to the Forton cause it works best!)
umm if the binder of the parts isnt going to show than just roughen up the part thats going to touch and use thick and thin Cyanoacrylate glue. the thin will soak into the plaster and the think will bond the saturated parts together. You may want to add the finish on after this process in complete so you dont get glue all over anything. hope that helps and good luck!
