Topic Subject : Fibers and mother molds |
|
Hi everyone, I have been trying to work out some bugs in my lifecasting work. Im trying to speed up my process and in doing so im comming accross bumps in the road. Im looking for someone that can kinda think outside of the box and give me some ideas or answers to the following questions.
1- Im looking for a short fiber or something that will allow me to kinda spread or dust over the alginate before it sets to take the place of the cotton. Im looking for something thats on the market and doesnt take an army to purchase!
2- Currenty I wet out large hand towels in plaster and drape them over the alginate to create the mother mold. Cheap and fast but I would like something a little lighter weight. I used cheese cloth at first but I just dont have a good technique for it and dont wanna keep beating that dead horse! anyone useing anything thats fast and economical?
Thank you for any and all help,
Kendall
