Topic Subject : Baby casts |
|
Hi everyone,
I wanted to ask your opinion and advice. I have been lifecasting baby's hands and feet for sometime now but the baby's are normally several months old. I have been asked on several occasions about casting younger babies but I am quite aware of how delicate and sensitive they are and with midwives now advising against the use of baby wipes on newborns! What would The minimum age you would cast? Has anyone done any newborns or have experiences they could share. I have done a foot of a 2 week old which came out nicely. Also as they get older they move more! Are there any health and safety issues to consider? I have never experienced any allergic reactions but this is a concern? I cast with traditional alignate using a container method as opposed to cloths.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thank you
