Topic Subject : Polyurethane molds |
|
I was just hoping someone could help me with a rubber mold I am making. I have a perfect pregnancy casting with a perfect arm and hand and want to make a permanent mold of it.
Firstl, I bought this stuff about a year ago and I think the person who sold it to me gave me the wrong stuff, it is for pour over mold in a container, but if you add something to it you can brush it on. well I'm not that patcient to wait until tomorrow and drive 30 min to get it.
So I set up my casting and mixed my first batch, after most of it dripped off, I found that if I let it cure a little it stays where I want it to.
My question is
How thick should I make the rubber mold and can anyone tell me the best way to make the mother mould, I fugure if I make sure all the undercuts are filled I can just make a detachable gypsum mother mold.
Any tips would be very helpfull.
Thanks for your time,
Diane
