Hi Dan,
I was just 'playing' as we English say. It has all been done before. Yes it is possible to plate just about any material after the surface has been made conductive. For example one can make plaster conductive by rubbing into the surface a coating of graphite powder and then polishing it off. Another method consists of painting the surface with a Silver salts solution ... there are many methods. Any plaster not to be plated needs to be well sealed to stop moisture ingress in the plating bath. One can of course 'brush plate' if you don't want full immersion.
I am just wondering how much graphite powder one would have to add to the raw plaster in order for it to become conductive when set. Hmmm ... I might have a look at that Hi!
