Topic Subject : 2006 ALI WINNERS ANNOUNCED |
|
This year, our second year for the ALI Life Casting competition, we had a much more difficult time in selecting winners as the entries were of such great quality.
There were four categories for both first place and first runner up. This allowed for eight winners. We made seven awards however, as there were not enough entrants for the public relations category.
We are still working on the posting to the ALI website which we expect to complete in a few more days. We will notify you when that happens so you can see all of the great art.
In the meantime we are pleased to announce the names of the winners in the 2006 ALI Life Casting Competition.
First place winners receive a personally engraved statue designed and created by Philip Hitchcock and a check for 0.00.
The First Runner Up winners will receipt a Certificate of Merit.
FIRST PLACE
Best Use of Medium
- David Parvin – Leopard
Most Outrageous
- Anja Maria Höppner - Stork Fairy Tale
Most Meaningful Use of Art Form
- Roy Butler – USCT National Memorial
Public Relations Award for Coverage in Media
- Philip Hitchcock – Creation of Adam
FIRST RUNNER UP
Best Use of Medium
- Terry McGuirt – Maiden
Most Outrageous
- Joseph Canger - Dali Skull
Most Meaningful Use of Art Form
- Jamie Brick – Dragon Fly
The statues must be hand engraved so please allow time for that. Certificates and prize money will be mailed within the next few weeks.
Congratulations to all our winners. We want to extend a thank you to all those who are participated in the competition. We look forward to having you participate this year. We encourage all those members who could not participate to think about doing so this time.
Regards,
Ed McCormick
